The Hundred Year's War was from 1338 to 1453. It started because of a marrige that caused England and France to clash. The French thought the English kings owned too much of their land. Edward the third, an Englich man, decided that he would be king of France after the real king's death. When the Frensh nobility did not agree, he invaded France. There was no clear victor, and there wouldn't be one for over one hundred years. Joan of Ark, a 17 year old peasant girl, played a major part in the war.
